StopAdani North Sydney is an active & dynamic group who welcome new members, and work across party lines to achieve our goal: to #StopAdani. We are mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and grandparents who want to ensure our children and grandchildren have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink and that their food is grown in clean, uncontaminated soil.
We are nurses, accountants, teachers, authors, professors, ecological scientists, authors, sociology researchers, directors, early childhood teachers and office administrators. Our ages, nationalities, political views, religious views and families are as diverse as our careers. In other words, we represent a wide range of Australians, and have differing opinions on many things. But we have one thing in common. We believe the Carmichael Mine is an enormous threat to two of Australia’s most precious resources (water and the Great Barrier Reef), and that we must do everything we can to stop the mine from proceeding.
