Protecting the Pilliga

We’re working to stop Santos’ CSG in the Pilliga; the largest temperate woodland in Eastern Australia and a recharge zone for the Great Artesian Basin.

North-west NSW is a valuable rich food and fibre-producing region, and includes the Liverpool Plains and the Golden Triangle south of Moree and the rich Western Plains – all accredited as some of the finest farmland in Australia. It also contains iconic natural areas, like the Pilliga Forest, Leard State Forest, Mt Kaputar National Park and Warrumbungle National Park.
