SOS Green Spaces

We are working with dozens of community groups who are determined to challenge this short term planning, by mobilising public support for new laws to prevent the sell-off of parks, by keeping and extending our shade giving trees, and preserving remaining bushland habitat.
Our cities need more trees and green spaces

About

Our cities need more trees and green spaces. The natural beauty of Australia’s cities is world famous. Our outdoor life style is enviable. And our parks and trees are a valuable inheritance. But as the cities grow, developers are bulldozing the bush for housing and infrastructure, chainsawing city trees and grabbing green spaces. Every week we are contacted by heartbroken communities mourning a much loved park that’s been sold off, urban tree canopies that have been cut down, and vital green space that’s been privatised. This chaotic and short sighted urban planning is making our cities and towns less healthy and liveable.

Change is happening!
