Lake Macquarie Climate Action
Lake Macquarie Climate Action is a group that works towards a zero emissions future for our city.
LMCA recently participated in the Living Smart Festival at Speers Park, organised by Lake Macquarie City Coucil. LMCA displayed a model of a Solar Thermal Power Station which with the aid of molten salt storage can provide base load power around the clock.
The power plant is part of the Stationary Energy Plan by Zero Carbon Australia who propose Australia can switch to 100% renewable energy within 10 years. See http://beyondzeroemissions.org for more info.
