This campaign focuses on the money invested in fossil fuel industries by banks, superannuation funds and other insitutions. It encourages supporters to take a number of action in relation to these instutions. For example putting their banks on notice, switching their banks or superannuation etc. "This campaign can take away the fossil fuel industry’s social license to pollute the planet, unlock the climate action deadlock and set Australia on the path to a clean, safe and just energy future."
This campaign wants to break political support for unconventional gas projects in WA and stop investment in these projects. "We need your help to grow a strong movement of supporters who are ready to: stand with communities on the front line, break political support for unconventional gas and stop investment in these projects."
This campaign is uniting a powerful movement — farmers, Traditional Owners, doctors, environmental groups, religious leaders and many others — to stop the construction of the huge Maules Creek Coal Mine in the endangered Leard State Forest.
Prior to September 2015 the ACT Government was investing in some of the world’s biggest coal, oil and gas companies. During 2014 and 2015, 350 Canberra lobbied the ACT Government to divest these shareholdings.
This campaign was the Canberra contingent of the People's Climate March. "In the last weekend of November, on the eve of world leaders meeting in Paris for the UN climate summit, we will gather in Australian cities and walk alongside hundreds of thousands around the world to show the size and diversity of people calling for climate action."
