Sitting beneath some of the most precious, fertile and culturally significant places in WA is a vast swathe of unconventional gas. Companies like Buru, Origin and AWE are gearing up to use risky fracking techniques to drill beneath the iconic Kimberley, the fertile soils of the Mid-West and even have permits over the outer suburbs of Perth. The vast reserves of gas beneath WA is the fifth largest in the world. At a time when we must be transitioning to renewable energy sources, unleashing this massive carbon sink would be disastrous. We need your help to grow a strong movement of supporters who are ready to: stand with communities on the front line, break political support for unconventional gas and stop investment in these projects. Here’s how you can get involved:
1. With our support host a WA Gas Film Screening and Info Night
2. Join the Perth Team
3. Send a message to the Minister.
