Welcome to Transition Hobsons Bay! We are a community group who are working to inspire relocalised and resilient neighbourhoods in the face of climate change and the end of cheap oil. Transition Hobsons Bay is a group of people in the community who are working to inspire a strong and healthy future for our neighbourhoods inthe face of climate change and the end of cheap oil. Transition Hobsons Bay is part of a growing international movement (Transition Towns) that provides a positive vision for a localised future. In Hobsons Bay we develop and support projects that inspire growing local gardens, eating local food, swapping home grown fruit and vegies, reducing energy and water use, community composting initiatives and reusing, upcycling and recycling waste. We also hold pot luck dinners and social events. All of this means we share experiences, information and ideas, learn new skills for a greener future, and importantly, we make sure we have fun!
