Stop Angela Pamela

Many Alice Springs residents are strongly opposed to a uranium mine and mill at Angela Pamela because of the risks it poses to our health, our water, our town and our way of life.

About

What is Angela Pamela?

Filed In: Uncategorized

‘Angela Pamela’ is a uranium deposit only 23kms from the centre of Alice Springs. Right now, Canadian mining giant Cameco, on behalf of their Australian partner Paladin, are undertaking exploratory drilling on site. The companies hope to develop an open-cut/underground uranium mine and processing mill. Many Alice Springs residents are strongly opposed to a uranium mine and mill at Angela Pamela because of the risks it poses to our health, our water, our town and our way of life. The Arid Lands Environment Centre (ALEC), Families for a Nuclear Free Future (FFANFF), The Super Raelene Bros. and the Beyond Nuclear Initiative (BNI) are working with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal residents of Alice Springs to STOP ANGELA PAMELA.
