Our vision is to fund, build and own, a community power company (renewable plus storage) to supply the needs of all ratepayers within the Mornington Peninsula Shire. Our proposal is to create and own a local energy micro-grid, still connected to the national grid but able to supply all our electricity needs here on the Peninsula from new, renewable generators.
Why?
Because it is the cheapest and most efficient way for every ratepayer, residential; commercial; industrial; rural; civic institutions and renters, to dramatically reduce their electricity costs within 6 years – that’s our claim and our modeling says it stacks up well.
