MISSION & HISTORY
Our Atmosphere was established in 2020 as a Not-for-Profit entity with the purpose of enhancing the environment by:
• Investing donations received from businesses and the public in non-speculative carbon offset credits. In addition, Our Atmosphere enjoys Environmental Organisation status with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment which affords Our Atmosphere Deductable Gift Recipient (“DGR”) status which means that the public and businesses that sponsor and donate to us can do so before tax.
• Education and Awareness around Climate Change and Carbon Emissions. To ensure a targeted efficiency ratio of no less than 85% of fundraising, Our Atmosphere has a charity status with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission. This will provide tax-exempt status and allow for an increase of funding into projects.
OUR VISION: To make carbon offsetting accessible to the public and businesses in a trusted, non-speculative environment, thereby taking control of the inaction of so many and reversing the impacts of climate change.

Here at Our Atmosphere, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is for people to get together. Despite our differences and our differing views, we the people will unify around a common purpose if our continued existence is at stake. We also know that there is a solution to all of this. As an Australian Not-for-profit organisation with community purpose, we are part of you. We have developed a carbon-offsetting model to address climate change.
