We are part of the ECCO group. We have started the group to ensure that the people of Orange are informed about the process of Climate Change and to develop projects that help with our future management of climate change.
Another environmental group is being formed in Orange in central western New South Wales. The Orange Climate Action Now group, which will be launched tonight, will be a sub-committee of the Environmentally Concerned Citizens of Orange. The organiser, Nick King, says the group does not want to be negative about climate change, but wants to raise awareness. “We’re also aware that there are a lot of other climate action groups in other towns. I believe there’s one in Bathurst, one in Byron Bay, one in Albury and we would like to network with them see what they’re doing, reinforce what they’re doing and learn from them,” he said.
