Mitchell Community Energy

Mitchell Community Energy Inc. is an expert community-based organisation that works to develop a greater awareness of climate change issues in the Mitchell Shire community and to take action to reduce the generation of greenhouse gases in our area.
We secure funding from within the community and elsewhere to undertake renewable energy and energy conservation projects.
We build community participation, empowerment and pride by working together on those projects.
We strengthen the local economy by using local enterprises and labour and capital wherever possible..
We aim to retain the funds generated by savings in power costs within the community.
We ensure that all members of the community have opportunities to benefit from the projects we undertake.
