GetUp Dickson Action Group

GetUp Dickson Action Group is a subgroup of GetUp that works towards building support for our issues in strategic places by having persuasive conversations that shift hearts and minds.

About

The Dickson GetUp Action Group is a group organised and led by local community members. The Dickson Action Group is passionate about ditching their local member, the Minister for Immigration – Peter Dutton! We’re passionate about refugees, economic equality and climate change, where Dutton is holding us back. We started in May 2017 and we’ve been meeting and getting active on the phones and in our community at market stalls. Dickson is in the North West of Brisbane and stretches from Mt Nebo in the West, Lawnton in the North and Ferny Grove in the South.

GetUp Australia:
Who we are: We believe in a fair, flourishing and just Australia – for all. But a decade of failed political leadership has let our communities down and left people behind. The GetUp Action Network is a home for anyone who’s ready to make real change possible by joining and leading Action Groups right across the country.
Our Story: We launched the GetUp Action Network in 2017 to take GetUp’s impact to the next level. Since, ordinary people like you have had hundreds of thousands of powerful conversations with fellow citizens on critical issues. And from Marriage Equality, to the campaign to end Tony Abbott’s 25-year reign in Warringah, we’ve been part of some of the biggest progressive achievements of the decade!
