About

Formed in November 2013 by a group of passionate locals. Follow or get involved on Facebook. Our friends at Environment Victoria have organised a climate action rally at 11 am on Saturday 8 May. Please try to get along, and help spread the word! Thanks https://environmentvictoria.org.au/…/week-of-action…/

It feels like a long time since we’ve been able to gather with like-minded locals. Come along to watch and to learn (the film is Environment Victoria’s ‘Beyond the Burning’). Also come just to be among others who share your concern for people and planet, and perhaps bring a friend or two…
This group was set up seven years ago, when a change in Federal government catalysed a rapid ‘unwinding’ of measures introduced by the Gillard government to see stronger action on climate change. I (Claire) was one of the founders of this group. There has been a lot of water under the bridge in the intervening years (and more changes of Prime-Minister!) but my commitment to see strong action on climate change hasn’t wavered. Together with two friends I am now running for election to local Council in Frankston. We’d love you help as we campaign, because we’re doing our best to go ‘tree free’! Check out our blog post and the Reimagining Frankston website to find out more ✅♻️
