Fossil Free ANU is an autonomous student run organisation that formed out of ANUSA’s Environmental Collective. We work closely with ANU students, the wider University community, and 350.org to divest the Australian National University from fossil fuels. We are calling on the ANU to:
1. Investigate and disclose ANU’s domestic and international investments in companies that explore, extract, process and transport fossil fuels;
2. Cease any new investments in the 200 companies with the largest fossil fuel reserves, and in companies that derive significant revenue from fossil fuels; and
3. End ANU’s investments in fossil fuel companies within 5 years under a planned divestment regime, with annual review and disclosure.
The Fossil Free ANU campaign is one of the longest running divestment campaigns in Australia.
