Flinders Zero Carbon Community (Flinders Zero) is a newly formed group, supported by the Flinders Community Association and part of the Beyond Zero Emissions Zero Carbon Communities campaign. The Flinders community has a wonderful opportunity to join with many other communities across Australia to address climate change by reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2030 in the 3929 postcode. Flinders Zero aims to achieve this by initiating projects in collaboration with individuals, business, local community organisations, shire and governments.
In 2021 Flinders Zero held a Community Energy forum, gathered views from locals through a survey and have been busy researching and assessing options in a number of areas. We are considering undertaking a feasibility study for a community battery in early 2022. Watch out for news on this front. To stay in touch and get involved please sign up to our mailing list, http://eepurl.com/hx5A55, follow us on Facebook and Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube Channel https://youtu.be/n9MFOt_tZtY or email us [email protected]. We want everyone in 3929 to get involved. Spread the word …Flinders Net Zero Carbon by 2030, together we can do it!
The Flinders Zero carbon community (a sub-committee of the FCA) aims to work with the wider Flinders community toward achievement of net zero carbon emissions by 2030 in partnership with the MP Shire and other like minded groups.
