About

Our network will ensure First Nations people play a central role and harness the opportunities from Austrlaia’s renewables boom. Learn more about your rights and opportunities, skills training, research, exciting community-led projects, campaigns for change and more. Our Network is made up of First Nation people, communities and organisations, collaborating with industry, investors, unions, academics, legal and technical experts.

Together we will:
– Support community-owned renewable projects deliver lower-cost, reliable energy.
– Power job opportunities and strong economies so our mob can live and work on Country.
– Form strong industry partnerships, sharing the benefits of a renewable future.

Our three pillars of work focus on Community, Industry Partnerships and Policy Reform. Our lands and waters offer rich resources in the form of sun and wind energy, and can support green hydrogen production. As the clean energy industry expands, it is important that we make decisions which determine our future and protect our country and culture. This means being free to decide which projects to pursue, and how best to protect our Country and sacred sites for generations to come.

We will make sure clean energy is done the right way, driven by our communities and developed so it sustains country for generations to come. We believe the benefits of the clean energy boom can be shared by all. Now is the right time to reset relationships with industry, so none of us repeat the mistakes of the mining industry. Clean, reliable energy will help communities deal with more extreme temperatures brought by climate change. Backing new projects also helps us play a role in addressing climate change, by reducing emissions from coal and gas projects.
