About

Community Voice for Hume. It is a group for those living in the Federal Electorate of Hume who are interested in helping achieve the aims of the group, as stated below. The vision for Community Voice for Hume (CV4H) is to provide a voice for the constituents of Hume to create a socially sustainable future. Working with other community groups in Goulburn and other parts of Hume, its objectives are:
➢ To ensure that community issues have an effective voice
➢ To drive social sustainability, especially improved mental health, by reducing loneliness
➢ To build climate resilience across the community, starting with Aged Pensioners
➢ To ensure that Hume realises the economic benefits of Renewable Energy and to reinvest it back into the Community
➢ To achieve net-zero emissions by 2050
➢ To work with the Goulburn Mulwaree Council to deliver on its Regional Community Strategic Plan. The same plan belongs to Yass Valley Council and the Upper Lachlan Council.
Intially the effort of the group will be in Goulburn, but through linkages to like-minded community groups there is the opportunity to extend the group’s reach to other parts of Hume.
