This is a group that brings together climate concerned citizens of Central Victoria.

About

Climate concerned citizens of Central Victoria. Who is this amazing speaker about carbon colonialism and genocide- displacing Torres straight islanders from their homelands, and the need for a radical transformative pathway. Stand up and speak up against the systems of oppression! Massive crowd marching through Naarm CBD for the Invasion Day rally after two hours of incredible speakers. “Always was always will be Aboriginal Land.” “No pride in genocide.”

Professor Gary Foley speaking at today’s rally. He is an Aboriginal activist of the Gumbaynggirr people and has been attending these rallies for 50 years. He is best known for his role in establishing the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra in 1972 and for establishing an Aboriginal Legal Service in Redfern in the 1970s.

Read today’s Castlemaine Mail to find out why some of our members spent their New Year’s Eve continuing to highlight climate change. Happy New Year of climate activism!
