About

School Strike 4 Climate: a message for our politicians: On September 25, school students across Australia will be calling on politicians to Fund Our Future not Gas. CCBR supporters have already begun to amplify the message – socially distanced of course! There has never been a more important time to ensure that, as we recover from the current economic shock, our future jobs and industries are based on the clean renewable resources Australia has in abundance, as well as on the principle of inter-generational justice. Yet our Federal Government’s response is heaviiy weighted to using public money to support the expansion of gas, both domestically and as an export. We’ve asked for a meeting with our local MP, Anthony Albanese, to ask about his policy in coal and gas, and the transition we must have over the next decade.

What you can do
• Join a School Strike 4 Climate action near you on Sept 25
• Email or phone your MP to say gas is a fossil fuel too!
