One Million Conversations

This campaign supports people to have One Million Conversations about climate, with Climate Change Balmain-Rozelle is taking the Australian Conservation Foundation's campaign to the streets.

About

We’re joining volunteers across the country to make the 2019 Federal poll the Climate Election. The goal is to have One Million Conversations about climate, and Climate Change Balmain-Rozelle is taking the Australian Conservation Foundation’s campaign to the streets of our own electorate Grayndler and nearby Reid, a potential swinging seat focused on Drummoyne, Canada Bay and parts of Strathfield.

Having conversations is very powerful – when we make personal connections by listening as well as sharing information, people remember the ideas far better than by seeing an ad or reading a flyer. We ask each of them who care about climate change to pledge to vote for a candidate who will act to:
* Stop Adani’s polluting mine
* End digging and burning coal
* Switch to 100%renewable energy.

Climate damage is here now, but so are solutions. We can’t allow our elected representatives to put off any further the action we need. You can sign the voter pledge now – but better still, join a group to talk to others at the next Climate Conversations event. Watch our Coming Up calendar, or email [email protected] and we’ll let you know when we’re next out and about. You won’t be alone, and there’s training each session. It’s always interesting and surprisingly enjoyable!
