About

Following on from three successful week-long roadtrips through NSW, VIC and QLD in late 2012, ASEN will be producing a documentary to be screened around Australia in May 2013. More details on the documentary will be coming soon! Keep an eye out for further roadtrips around Australia in the second half of 2013.

The Mining the Truth Roadtrips began with a group of 12 members of the NSW/ACT branch in 2011, exploring the coal and gas communities in the Hunter Valley and the Liverpool Plains. The purpose was to get out of the cities, witness the effects of extraction firsthand and speak with affected community members and groups trying to bring about social and environmental change. For many participants, the experience was life-changing.
