About

Do you want your Land & your Road Coal Mine and Gasfield free? Bauple Unites against Invasive Coal Mines & Gasfields on our roads and our properties.

Bauple Unites is a group of Community residents from Bauple, Talegalla Weir, Bauple Forest & Rossendale. We also connect with Tiaro, Munna Creek and Glenwood residents who reside in the Southern & Western Fraser Coast Hinterlands. We respectfully acknowledge that our homes, in the region identified by the Fraser Coast Regional Council as the South Fraser Coast Hinterland Community, sit within the lands of the Traditional Custodians Kabi Kabi First Nations and Butchella First Nations, as does the entire Southern Fraser Coast Hinterland. The Western Fraser Coast Hinterland Community sits within the Traditional Custodians Waka Waka First Nations’ Country and also Kabi Kabi First Nations.

Bauple community is located 216kms north northeast of Brisbane and sits equidistant between Maryborough and Gympie. Nestled between the Cooloola Coast Road and Bruce Highway, the region’s ecosystems are of world significance and form part of the World Heritage listed Great Sandy Biosphere. Surrounding Communities include Bauple Village, Rossendale, Bauple Forest and Talegalla Weir. The nearest Township of Tiaro is just 20kms north, the Village of Glenwood south along the Bruce highway & the Village of Gundiah west across the Bruce Highway as also a 20km drive (though Gundiah is only 6kms as the crow flies).

We actively advocate for our natural environmental, healthy communities & economic vitality through collaborative and participatory action. Our present day activities are intrinsically linked to this decade and the many future decades – the future life of this region. We formed Bauple Unites – NO Coal Mines & Gasfields Facebook page to connect and share Community news and events within and about our Community related to present exploration permits and proposed future Mining. We encourage everyone to participate in open and engaging discussion on matters which relate directly to the liveability of us all living & who wish to remain living in the Bauple region for this decade and the many more decades into the future. While everyone is entitled to an opinion, we ask that all collaboration be informative, engaging, factual and contribute directly to the relevant topic.
