Australian Youth Climate Coalition Macnamara

A local group of Australian Youth Climate Coalition, based in VIC. AYCC is Australia’s largest youth-run organisation. Their mission is to build a movement of young people leading solutions to the climate crisis.

About

We’re starting up a group in Melbourne’s southern suburbs, to work on the Federal election in the Macnamara electorate! ✊ Come along to our launch event on the 24th of January to hear about how we can make the upcoming Federal election all about climate and stopping Adani, and help us make plans to engage young people in Melbourne’s south on climate change. We’ll talk about what the AYCC does, what campaigns we work on, and plan out the first months of the campaign. Snacks will be provided, but we’ll head for a bite to eat/drink after too.

This is our first event as a group, so don’t feel intimidated if you’re brand new to AYCC/activism! Everyone is welcome This event is taking place on the stolen land of the Boon Wurrung/Bunurong people of the Kulin nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. We would like to pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging, as well as pay tribute to the leadership of Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network in the fight for climate justice.
