Background: Australian Parents for Climate Action is the voice for all parents, grandparents, families, and carers of children in Australia to show their deep concern about the impact of climate change on our children’s safety and survival, now and into the future. You don’t have to be a parent to join our group – just someone who cares about our kids’ having a liveable, thriving world for their safe, healthy futures.
Our aims are
1. To encourage more parents and carers to learn about and advocate for action on climate change.
2. To provide helpful resources for concerned parents and carers
3. To organise our own family friendly climate actions and support those of other groups

Here on the Fraser Coast we’re on a mission to empower parents, carers, families and everyone who cares about kids, to advocate for urgent action on climate. We live in an area with a rich diversity ecosystems that are vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, not to mention our community infrastructure and our way of life. We invite you to get involved! We are all local parents from diverse backgrounds, united by a common purpose – our love for our kids, and our local community. We want to create a safe future for our children and future generations. We also want a safe, sustainable future for migrating humpback whales, endangered turtle species, world heritage listed K’gari and internationally recognised wetlands and bird nesting sites. Our Fraser Coast group is action-oriented, locally connected and part of a network of groups all over Australia. We plan family-friendly, non-partisan activities that engage communities, engage politicians in climate solutions, and amplify positive stories.
