Banyule Parents for Climate Action offers a place for all parents, grandparents, families, and carers of children in the Banyule district to voice their deep concern about the impact of climate change on our children’s safety and survival, now and into the future. You don’t have to be a parent to join our group – just someone who cares about our kids’ having a liveable, thriving world for their safe, healthy futures.
Our aims are
1. To encourage more parents and carers to learn about and advocate for action on climate change in the Banyule district and
2. To provide helpful resources for concerned parents and carers
3. To organise our own family friendly local climate actions and support those of other like-minded groups and so support the bigger national movement on climate action
4. To speak out on behalf of frustrated Banyule parents and carers who don’t see or hear their political leaders representing their interests, and the interests of their families and communities on climate change.
5. To feed into Australian Parents for Climate Action (www.ap4ca.org) and support national actions.
Please answer the questions we have asked when requesting to join our fb group. We want to know you are not a bot! If inviting your friends to our group please ask them to answer the questions, otherwise we won’t add them. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as traditional custodians of the beautiful land on which we live, play and advocate and pay our humble respects to their elders past, present and emerging for their infinite care and culture that has preserved the balance in this region for millennia. This is and always will be aboriginal land.
