Successful [1996-2001] campaign to preserve the Mullum Mullum Valley bushland

We are a Climate Action Group made up by a growing number of concerned locals who communicate about the issues to our community and work with the media to promote awareness of climate change and actions people can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Nillumbik Climate Action Team (NCAT) is a non-partisan lobby group of local citizens who deeply concerned about global warming and the impacts of climate change. NCAT began in 2019 with the aim of convincing our Shire Council to declare a Climate Emergency. We are delighted to announce that we succeeded in this aim in 2022!

We are a local group of Extinction Rebellion (XR), which is a decentralised, politically non-partisan movement that uses non-violent direct action and civil disobedience to persuade governments to act justly on the climate and ecological emergency.
