In the lead up to the 2022 federal election AYCC hosted Youth on the Mic: an online, inter-organisational, youth-led forum, inviting political candidates to listen to young people about the issues impacting us the most.

This campaign saw supporters lobbying MPs about Galilee Basin in Queensland for coal mining, and of existing and new coal port development on The Great Barrier Reef. It included letter writing and designing/sending reef post cards.

Held during 2012, 2013 and 2014 and aimed at Federal politicians, lobbying for Australia to move away from fossil fuels and towards renewables. We designed and printed our own postcards.

This campaign called on firefighters to share their experiences on the frontlines to communicate to the federal government (Prime Minister Scott Morrison & Senator Bridget McKenzie) that more action needed to be taken on climate change.

This campaign called on all politicians and candidates to take a pledge calling for an end to taking donations from and giving subsidies to the fossil fuel industry. "Find out where your MP stands and join the campaign to get the pollutors out of politics!"
