MASG is the peak sustainability organisation for the Mount Alexander Shire, delivering education, research, advocacy, and endorsement for shire wide sustainability and clean energy initiatives.

The Mt Barker Windfarm was commissioned in March of 2011. The project consists of three 800kW E53 Enercon wind turbines are on a hill on a private sheep farm 4 km north of Mt Barker on the western side of Albany Highway.
