To support and strengthen existing campaigns for a nuclear-free Australia, the Poola Foundation (Tom Kantor Fund), Friends of the Earth Australia and the Australian Conservation Foundation have joined forces to establish the Beyond Nuclear Initiative. It was set up in early 2006.
This NSW campaign demanded that the NSW government introduces legislation into the Parliament to protect the Wyong Water Catchment District, the largest drinking water resource on the Central Coast, from mineral extraction, and to protect homes from being undermined by longwall coal mining.
This group is an alliance of 17 committed local government, catchment management, state government, & alpine resort partner that aims to promote and support regional action on climate change.
A State network created in 2008 that aims to support grassroots climate action.
The Zero Emission Network supports the global campaign to reduce humanity’s net greenhouse gas emissions to zero and below, with the view to reducing atmospheric greenhouse gases to a level that will enable humanity and our natural environment to thrive and flourish.
