This campaign was to stop the Singleton Station water licence. ALEC were taking the Minister for the Environment (NT) to court over the Singleton water licence and raising funds for the court case. "The approval of the largest groundwater licence in the history of the Northern Territory puts arid ecosystems at risk of being destroyed."
This campaign asks Minister Plibersek to fast-track water protections to stop tens of thousands of wells being drilled in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, leaking toxic ‘forever’ chemicals into our groundwater and releasing millions of tonnes of climate pollution.
Many Alice Springs residents are strongly opposed to a uranium mine and mill at Angela Pamela because of the risks it poses to our health, our water, our town and our way of life.
