The Downstream KNAG name was chosen because of the many people and Valley communities living downstream of the AGL Gloucester Project situated next to the Avon River, tributary to the mighty Manning River and all CSG projects in water catchment areas.

Knitting Nannas peacefully and productively protest against the destruction of our land, air, and water by corporations and/or individuals who seek profit and personal gain from the short-sighted and greedy plunder of our natural resources.

Groundswell Gloucester is a non-profit, incorporated Association formed by a group of residents who want our community to have the final say in the political decisions which determine the economic, social and environmental future of the Stroud Gloucester Valley.

We are a group of volunteers who love and work to preserve our local environment. Our main activities are Rivercare, Koalaways (planting and preserving tree corridors for local koalas), Bushwalks ( from easy to challenging).

Our group takes aciton to empower the community to develop and run its own locally controlled, environmentally responsible, and financially successful renewable energy programs.
