Saved, Alexandria Point - In 2011 campaign by Surfrider Foundation Sunshine Coast branch stops a one kilometre seawall proposal.
Unfortunately, this campaign is lost in 2014 when the breakwall was constructed by the local council, a large rocky structure was placed right on the point through the surf zone.
Surfrider Foundation South Coast branch campaign saves this beach from developers. It is now a National Surfing Reserve.
In 2015 Surfrider Foundation Northern Beaches called for further upgrades for a deep ocean outfall (DOO) to be constructed following studies prepared by local volunteers concluding that the volumes proposed to be treated could never be satisfactorily recycled under the existing Sydney Water proposal.
