Hepburn renewable energy association hrea was established in 2005 in VIC, with the intention to build Australias first community-owned wind farm.
Hepburn Z-NET is a collaborative partnership bringing together community groups, organisations, experts and council to shift the Hepburn Shire to zero-net energy by 2025 and zero-net emissions by 2030.
Hepburn Wind is the owner and operator of Australia’s first community-owned wind farm, at Leonards Hill, about 100km north-west of Melbourne, just south of Daylesford Victoria. The 4.1 MW wind farm hosts two turbines called Gale and Gusto, who produce enough clean energy for over 2000 homes.
Hepburn Energy (formerly Hepburn Wind) has been powering change in energy and renewables for over a decade. Starting as Australia’s first community-owned wind farm, we’re now working on being the first hybrid wind, solar and battery co-operative.
Extinction Rebellion is a global movement. Our aim is to get our governments to respond urgently to the climate and ecological emergency. These events will be taking place on the stolen land of the Wathaurong and Dja Dja Wurrung people. We pay respect to the traditional owners and the elders past and present.
