Surfrider Foundation Gold Coast Tweed Branch is tackling the issue of plastic pollution in Burleigh Heads one plastic bag at a time through the implementation of a bag share initiative called Boomerang Bags.
The Queensland Government should honour its commitment to a 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2030 by enshrining it in legislation and implementing a suite of policies to support and accelerate the transition.
Among the issues we are currently following closely are the expansion of the Sunshine Coast Airport and the proposed ‘Noosa on Weyba’ development.
​You can join the campaign to have the Sunshine Coast Council declare a climate emergency and take stronger and more urgent action, which in turn can deliver tangible outcomes for all of us residing or visiting here.
