As one of 430+ autonomous groups worldwide we aim to promote a fundamental change in our political & economic system to maximise wellbeing & minimise harm.

Our vision was to build a small, community-scaled windfarm feeding into the regional grid. As well as improving the quality and reliability of the district’s power, a windfarm would reduce the community’s reliance on fossil fuels, secure its energy future, and deliver tangible social and environmental benefits.

The Albany Community Environment Centre ACEC was originally formed in 1994 with the purpose of promoting and supporting our local environment in Albany (WA).
