Among the issues we are currently following closely are the expansion of the Sunshine Coast Airport and the proposed ‘Noosa on Weyba’ development.
The current focus of action at this time is to put a stop to the financing of Climate Change by the big four banks in Australia, particularly the ANZ Bank - the dirtiest bank in Australia.
There is mounting evidence that CSG mining poses substantial risks. Stop CSG Illawarra formed to express community concern about these risks
Stop CSG Sydney, formerly known as Sydney Residents Against Coal Seam Gas (SRACSG), is a community group campaigning to stop Coal Seam Gas (CSG) mining in Sydney and to stop the expansion of CSG mining across NSW. We undertake a variety of activities including making submissions to all relevant authorities (federal, state and local) about our aims. We also organise community meetings, rallies, lobbying and other actions to achieve the objectives of Stop CSG Sydney.
Over the last five years the Port Augusta community has strongly advocated for solar thermal to replace its old coal fired power station. But we need leadership from the South Australian Government to make it happen. Will you email your State Government MP and Members of the Legislative Council and tell them to make solar thermal in Port Augusta the next step in SA's renewable revolution?
