A large gold mining operation has secretively been given the go ahead in the Wombat State Forest; 2km south of the Bullarto township, in the headwaters of the Heritage listed Lerderderg River.
This campaign states that Public Transport is for everyone. Communities in Melbourne's West deserve access to a bus network that is fast, frequent and connected, serviced by clean electric buses.
We've been campaigning to stop a new coal mine at Bacchus Marsh for years. The minerals exploration licence for coal held by Mantle Mining and Exergen in the Bacchus Marsh area expires this month (2016). We have asked Lily D'Ambrosio to put the Mantle/Exergen licence on hold – not to renew it – pending the outcome of the review.
