The Environment Centre NT seeks legal protection for the harbour and its catchment through a regional plan established under the Planning Act, stronger environment and pollution laws, a ban on canal estates and major mangrove clearing, a network of protected areas around the harbour foreshore from Lee Point to Wagait Beach, and a major green infrastructure program to upgrade or replace third world standard sewage treatment and port facilities

This campaign targets the Northern Territory government to take action of Buffel grass. "Introduced in the 1950's, buffel grass is rapidly spreading across Central Australia and beyond. Its dense growth chokes out native plants and causes damaging fires, making it the greatest invasive species threat to ecological and cultural values in the arid and semi-arid zone. "
The Central Australian Frack Free Alliance (CAFFA) via their lawyers the Environmental Defenders Office launched legal action over the NT government's decision to approve Tamboran Resources to drill and frack 12 exploration wells in the Beetaloo Basin, North of Elliott.
