This was AYCC's 2022 federal election campaign. They aimed to have 10,000 conversations with voters ahead of the election. They had a set of 5 election asks, including commitments to net zero by 2035.
This campaign offered faith communities a number of actions they could take as individuals: Communicating about climate change, Informing your faith community, Signing petitions, Writing to politicians.
This campaign is to prevent the super trawler, the FV Abel Tasman (formally the Margiris) from fishing in Australian waters. "While the super trawler can’t currently fish in Australia, the change in the law doesn’t mean it won’t be able to fish in future. There has been no categorical ban on super trawlers."
Label My Fish is a new campaign, designed to see Australian laws changed to require more information on seafood labels, specifically: What species of fish is it? Where is it from? How was it caught or farmed?
This campaign calls for stronger controls on land clearing to reduce sediment pollution of the Great Barrier Reef.
