CAHA is calling for strong emissions reductions as an important public health measure and a national strategy on climate change and health as the prescription for political parties looking for a winning formula in the upcoming federal election (2013).
This campaing focused on the 2016 federal election: Strong emissions reduction targets will help limit massive adverse impacts on human health, both in Australia and globally.
This 2019 federal election campaign asked supporters to contact their local candidates and either email or visit them to let them know that climate change is and will affect Australians health and that, conversely, climate action is a win for both people's health and in reducing the economic burden of ill-health associated with climate change.
This campaign was held in the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow, Citizen's Climate Lobby held 100 days of action calling for: A bipartisan and federally legislated target of Net Zero Emissions by 2050 (and preferably sooner), with a clearly documented process for achieving it presented by the Government at the Conference.
This campaign called for net zero by no later than 2050: Australia needs to reach net zero emissions no later than 2050 and preferably sooner. A bipartisan and federally legislated net zero emissions by 2050 target is required in order to achieve this (which includes being on track by 2030).
