The EDO is an independent, non-profit, community legal service, specialising in public interest environmental law.
In Australia, access to legal assistance in environmental law matters can be expensive and difficult to obtain. The EDO attempts to address this situation by provide legal advice and representation in public interest environmental law cases. Our clients range from community based environment groups to national conservation NGOs.
We also have a law reform program where we work with environment organisations and community groups to improve environmental laws.
