About

Across the huge expanse of New South Wales and Queensland lies a vast, connected system of nature. No other continent on earth has such an extensive network of Travelling Stock Routes and Reserves (TSRs) on public land.

Introducing the TSR network: Stretching across 3 million ha in NSW and Queensland, forming a continental connection across Eastern Australia, the Travelling Stock Routes and Reserves (TSR) network holds some of the best remaining wildlife corridors in Australia.
– Safeguarding our culture and history: The rugged drovers who herd their cattle and sheep around Australia, braving dust, drought and hardship are a central part of the Outback myth. The stock routes and reserves often match ancient Aboriginal pathways, safeguarding important cultural heritage.
– National heritage under threat: A long-term vision and a commitment in legislation and resources by State and Federal Governments is needed to protect the globally unique values of the TSR network.
