Heinz caught out over GE food

Sydney, Friday 4th October 2002:Greenpeace today revealed that food company Heinz Watties has deceived the Australian public about the use of genetically engineered (GE) foods in their products. Two Heinz products in the ‘Michelina’s’ frozen meal range have been found to contain GE ingredients, despite the company’s public assurance Heinz does not use GE.
