**Update: Kevin Rudd has raised Tibet concerns with the Chinese Premier. Well done! There’s still plenty of work to be done, so if you haven’t already please sign the petition below.**

Australians have a unique opportunity, right now, to influence what is happening in Tibet. Sign the petition below before Kevin Rudd heads to Beijing to meet the Chinese President and Premier. Let’s let our PM know he has a strong mandate to stand up for the rights of Tibetans.

Dear Mr Rudd,

We call on you to urge the Chinese Government to respect the human rights of Tibetans; to allow international monitors and journalists access to Tibetan areas; and to engage in direct negotiations with the Dalai Lama for genuine and meaningful Tibetan autonomy (as set out in the Chinese constitution).

We’ve already hit our initial target of 10,000, then our second target of 25,000 and now 30,000 and 50,000! Let’s see if we can make it to 60,000!

56,455 have joined this campaign – help us get to 60,000.
