Queenslanders say NO to Nuclear

Sign our petition to call on the Queensland Government to stick to their word and keep Queensland's nuclear ban in place.
Queensland Government to maintain Queensland's ban on nuclear energy no matter who wins the 2025 Australian election

About

Nuclear energy is a risk that Queenslanders can’t afford: it’s expensive, it won’t be ready in time to cut pollution and avoid the worst impacts of climate change, and it produces radioactive waste that sticks around for tens of thousands of years.
Sign our petition to call on the Queensland Government to stick to their word and keep Queensland’s nuclear ban in place.

We don’t want:
* Energy bills that rise by $665 per year to pay for expensive nuclear.
* Runaway climate change caused by keeping coal and gas operating for longer.
* The burden of radioactive waste that lasts for tens of thousands of years.
* Water shortages because nuclear is a water guzzler.

Will you sign?
We, the undersigned, are calling on the Queensland Government to maintain Queensland’s ban on nuclear energy no matter who wins the 2025 Australian election.
