About the South Pacific Whale Sanctuary

Japan kills more than 500 whales annually by exploiting a loophole in the IWC’s rules that allows whaling for scientific research. Let the Japanese Prime Minister know of your opposition to whaling.

GIVE WHALES A VOICE Locals of a small Tongan island tell why whales are worth more alive . Learn about our quest for a South Pacific Whale Sanctuary and help create the sanctuary here.

TEACHERS, INSPIRE STUDENTS about whales by using the complete lesson plan kit in our Teachers’ Resource Zone (devised by qualified teachers and supported by the NSW Board of Education for primary and high schools).

WHALES OF THE WORLD need protection from commercial hunters – fast. Help create a Global Whale Sanctuary by signing our petition. (We hope to collect 1 million signatures worldwide.)

OVERFISHING IS DEVASTATING the world’s last true marine wilderness – right near Australia in the Southern Ocean. Write to the Australian Environment Minister and other key politicians, asking them to take the lead in protecting our marine life.
