About

Nature is everyone’s business. Let’s #RecoverRebuildRenew so that we protect nature, our climate, and our community. Our featured actions:
* Five ways to make big business act for our climate
* Email the big 4 banks: move your money out of gas
* Bank Rank: Which big 4 bank will be the first to exit gas?
* Business can be a force for nature

This year has not been business as usual. Extreme bushfires, a global pandemic and an escalating economic crisis have shown us how dependent we are on nature and our climate. Yet despite the challenges, we have all come together – buying produce from local cafes, connecting in nature, and looking after neighbours. Now – together – we get to decide how we recover, and we have long-term problems that aren’t going away, like bushfires, drought, and animal extinction. That’s why communities and businesses are uniting to help Australia #RecoverRebuildRenew so that we protect our nature and climate. Nature is everyone’s business. We all rely on clean water, air and soil, a safe climate and a healthy planet. And it’s all our responsibility to protect it.

Let’s rebuild our communities so they’re healthier and more resilient, today and tomorrow.

Our recovery, our choice
Clever, forward-thinking businesses of all sizes – small, medium and big – are taking practical action to step up for a recovery that protects nature and our climate. And the public loves this kind of leadership – the latest research shows 73% of Australians are looking to business to take the lead on climate change. None more so than the finance sector. Led by banks and super funds – it has a huge opportunity to protect our living world by moving the billions of dollars it’s responsible for out of fossil fuels and into clean energy. Nature is everyone’s business. We all rely on clean water, air and soil, a safe climate and a healthy planet.

We can renew our energy system so it’s clean and renewable, and export Australian sunshine to the world. Protecting nature starts local, and small businesses can do BIG things to #RecoverRebuildRenew by:
* Putting up a poster to publicly support a climate and nature-positive economic recovery.
* Going renewable – solar makes sense for our climate, it’s cheaper and we’ll give you all the tools you need to make it happen!
* Picking up the phone to your super fund and asking them to back in your good work by divesting from all fossil fuels by 2030.

Big business
As we rebuild, there is a huge opportunity for big business to lead Australia to a healthy, resilient future by:
* Divesting from fossil fuels by 2030
* Advocating to government for a nature and climate-positive recovery
* Becoming the climate champion of your sector – lead your sector to net zero emissions by 2050
* Analysing how nature powers your business and advocating for its protection.
