Aspex is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Korean-Indonesian palm oil conglomerate Korindo. Korindo is a rogue company with a long history of rampant rainforest destruction, illegal practices and human rights violations. The environmental destruction caused by Korindo vastly exceeds the environmental benefit of using the recycled newsprint from Aspex, especially as alternative supplies of recycled newsprint are available as substitutes. Send a Letter to the Editor of The Australian and The Courier Mail asking them to cut ties with Korindo. Australian news companies should source responsible products from responsible companies.

– Purchase newsprint only from responsible suppliers
