Our movement in Australia is part of an international youth climate movement that spans the globe. We’ve been involved in UN climate negotiations in Bali 2007, Poland 2008 and Copenhagen 2009 and Cancun 2010. This year, AYCC will be expanding our engagement with the international youth climate movement beyond the UN climate conference in December. Together with partners from around the world, the AYCC will be part of projects that aim to make the global movement more connected and effective than ever. Some of the projects we will be working on include:
– An online toolkit and resource hub for youth climate coalitions
– A volunteer exchange program between youth climate coalitions
– An online platform to support effective communication and collaboration
– The Conference of Youth, a three-day event held in the lead-up to the UN climate conference in Durban in December
